Stardew Valley is one of those games that sounds peaceful on paper and then quietly takes over your evening. I inherit an old farm, clear weeds, plant crops, water seeds, meet villagers, go fishing, explore mines, raise animals, upgrade tools, decorate the house, and somehow realize that I have created a routine I care about. It is cozy, but it is not empty. It is relaxing, but it always gives me something meaningful to do.
