I watched Coco expecting a colorful Pixar adventure about music and family, but the film reached me in a deeper place than I expected. It begins with a boy who wants to play guitar, yet it quickly becomes a story about memory, legacy, forgiveness, and the emotional weight of being part of a family with old wounds. What impressed me most is how naturally the movie moves between humor, wonder, and tenderness. It never feels like a lecture about tradition. It feels like a living story about why people hold on to the past, and why the past can sometimes hold too tightly to them.
