Stupid Never Dies will officially launch on October 21, 2026. The release date was revealed in a new trailer introducing Phoenix Zaza Hotfeathers, a mysterious character described as a cosmic custodian with unclear loyalties.
The action RPG is being developed by GPTRACK50, a studio founded by Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi. His previous production credits include Resident Evil 4, Dragon’s Dogma, and Devil May Cry.
The newly confirmed date places the game outside the crowded September 2026 release period, which several publishers are reportedly avoiding because of major upcoming launches.
Sega will co-publish Stupid Never Dies worldwide. The game is also receiving a physical PlayStation 5 edition and a premium Glorious Idiot Edition.
The premium package includes the TickTock Teddies: Nonsense Overload Pack, featuring five modifiers that can change animations, music, visual effects, and character presentation. One of the included options reportedly adds a large-head mode.
