Ubisoft’s fighting game Brawlhalla has launched a new crossover event featuring characters from the Shrek franchise. The collaboration is part of the 25th anniversary celebration for the original animated film.

Shrek, Fiona, and Puss in Boots are available as playable crossover characters, while Donkey appears as a companion that reacts to events during matches. Each character uses a different combat style and themed equipment.

Shrek can use his familiar warning sign during attacks, Fiona focuses on close-range combat, and Puss in Boots fights with a sword and lance.

The event also introduces two themed arenas: Shrek’s Swamp and Shrek’s Muddy Swamp. Additional paid cosmetics include a Mongo KO effect and emoji designs based on Lord Farquaad, Dragon, and Pinocchio.

The Brawlhalla x Shrek event will remain available until August 19, 2026. The crossover arrives as DreamWorks continues expanding the franchise, with Shrek 5 planned for summer 2027 and a separate Donkey film expected in 2028.
