Pokémon Pokopia will receive its first paid expansion on August 5, 2026, alongside a free update available to all players. The DLC is titled Bubbly Basin and introduces a new town that can be rebuilt and customized.
The update will also add underwater exploration. Players will gain access to a new Dive ability, allowing their Ditto character to walk across the ocean floor with the help of a bubble helmet and interact with Pokémon living below the surface.
Several new Water-type Pokémon will appear in the expansion, including Totodile. These characters can join the player’s community and help operate new bubble-powered machinery connected to the aquatic area.
The diving feature will be part of the free update, while access to Bubbly Basin requires the Expansion Pass, currently priced at $34.99 or £29.99.
The second part of the pass is planned for late 2026 and will focus on clothing and accessories for Pokémon. A third expansion is scheduled for 2027, although its content has not yet been revealed.
